After I received a call from a parent today, I feel it is time to write again. It has been a clear case of bullying in which one of our children / students managed to prevent an assault because of his karate training - but now must take the blame for. It makes me upset mkt and I'll be surprised how "educated" people can be so stupid sometimes even.
For the wise Rekor Sintorpskolan in Lindome I can only say: Read the facts before you turn up with terms that you do not know. The difference in civilserad a man and a fool is knowledge. In view of your career choice, it should express that "Karate encourages violence in the schools" to be a rare character. It is both embarrassing and remarkable. A school should be a "enlightenment place" for children that will affect them for life. Good to know until the day comes when my own children to choose the elementary school. Below the text I wrote a while ago and apparently needs more people read this. / /
I have followed some debate recently as to whether different types out of martial arts are dangerous to our society or not, and I can not help but be a bit irritated by the ignorance that exists in our "modern" society today.
First, you get to see what pure facts can prove. In the meantime we have had Karate in Sweden we have not had a single death in the competitions. If you look at where such equestrian who is considered a more "noble" sports, we have a statistics of 3-5 persons per year. Do not press for any horse jumper now, but honestly - the last child may learn in a proper club is that it is okay to fight, we want our children to play sports when they should learn, fellowship, trained in a comradely way, and of course get the physical aspects as well.
Since I trained in both football and hockey, I dare say that there are close to the requirements of the children in a dojo, in such a union. In the changing rooms the children to tell each other how they want, it's ok to swear, call each other things, etc. This is not in a dojo. Here is the respect and discipline in force. If you want to not go along with that - well, then the door is not far away. That it shall treat each other with respect is today more a cliché than a reality. Anyone who thinks I walk on hard now, and thinking "he's wrong" - go to the club you want. This I have seen so many times that it is almost painful. Do not say that it is wrong in any other sport - but we are comparing "apples to apples" when it is not difficult to see where the "educative sport" is most effective.
Budo (Kamppi road) is about to evolve as a human being. Physically but especially mentally. Through the hard training we expose us to forge we discipline ourselves in the fires to get control of ourselves and our minds. Of mutual respect and discipline are part of the "culture" as a Budo Student nurtured within. Mind your language and clear guidelines on how to manage the school, help at home, show rspekt to parents and adults in general, etc. This is Budo - Not that we teach children to go out and beat the first thing they see on the up!
Turning on the TV today for a child means that they see directly how a man can beat another 20ggr in the face without anything happens - and this has been with him in every skolan.Och we have the most youth violence today? ... In arrest my case ... by allowing them to karate, children learn that this is physically impossible. They find that a kick or a blow, and provides a consistency that leads to pain and discomfort. But while they learn to master these things. They learn to see the fist borders - two ducks in the rope! What could be more instructive for a child, who flooded out of violent media on a daily basis, than to learn any lines are drawn? Now some think, "Yeah, but those who go out and use it on the street." Wrong man behind the wheel is also dangerous. It is pure idiocy to draw all people over the edge. An unserious student discovered quickly and get two options. Tightening or draw. No exceptions. Moreover, can they not support the requirements anyway so they are never long-lasting.
This is the physical aspect of karate. But what about mentally? Only one question - is youth depprissioner something that exists today? Poor self-esteem among young girls and boys who are forced to succumb to peer pressure, etc. in order to "fit in" is something we all know. YES!
By getting the physical exercise, we build up our self-confidence slowly. We learn to fight, all the way into the "objective" and push us past the line that says "I give up." What does this with mental training to do? Well everything. No man with good self-esteem course, feel bad about themselves sjävla, let alone do the people affected, or seek confirmation of / in a group. This contributes to a prosperous and stable mental attitude to everyday life.
Budo is simple. We sweat, train hard in an atmosphere based on discipline and respect that makes most "new" people to raise their eyebrows. My opinion is solid as cement: had we had more children and young people in Budo - then we had a very different living in both school and the workplace.
Please contact us if you want to discuss these things. My point in this post is to make people understand that for a serious karate club, which is sport's pillars not only a text on the wall - here, we live by them!
Until next time

Can not thank you enough Sensei Michel for assistance. Feels good to know that you are not alone in the battle. For it is obviously possible that you have to fight for her son's right to practice what he wants. Because that has not chosen football as the remaining 85% of students at the school so he must be treated differently from the remaining students. Awful to discover that school staff are so narrow & biased!! Right now we have launched a struggle not only against the mob began not to my son but also a battle for the teacher to stop trackasera him on his choice of leisure activity.
For apparently, to know the teacher as the children are trained to harm the child!! Completely absurd!! So again, thank you for your support mkt in my struggle for my son's rights to Åvik from other smith `s !!!!!
OSU
Perhaps the best would be to invite the teachers and the principal of a week of free training so they can see what we do down here really!?
Osu
Was also thinking about it ... but I do not think so! She has decided that karate is bad & she would likely dispute never set foot in the dojo ngn. ... But I get the opportunity so I can offer her the opportunity.

Osu.
The e all very well wonder how unreasonable people can be. My mother does not like the idea that we are fighting, but she has preschool teachers think it's obvious if you can that you should defend themselves! Hope it will work out for you.
OSU
It feels like they should address problems at the school to begin with: BULLYING! And the fact that a student in a situation where he must defend himself. Adults man shall surely protect and help children who fall into such situations, do not blame the other and shit in that grab thing which is all about. Cowardly and downright disgusting that adults are so concerned with themselves and their bigotry that they can not see who remain impartial. I hope it will work out for your son and that he never need to know / feel that here again! Fight for Jessica, I wish I could send additional forces to you.
